Has anyone actually read this series? And if you have, can you please spoil it for me?

What The Hell Is Wrong With People
I woke up this morning to headlines that, in New York, Black Friday shoppers trampled a Wal-Mart employee to death and then got irate when it was announced the store was being closed because of the death.
WTF? Whatever happened to Thou Shalt Not Kill? How about just Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done Unto You?

Let me offer this, in order to keep Nag posting
The American way of life is all I really know. Sure, I spent two years in Mexico, but that was in the ‘bubble’ of the calling I was there on. So while I mingled with the Mexican people and learned to love the women, as well as the cuisine, it was like watching National Georgraphic: you get a taste for what it is that they’re showing, but you know it’s not the same as being there.
Good God
After all their hollow ‘outrage’ about Clinton they show what they are made of.
Today Bush granted 14 pardons and shortened 2 prison sentences.
So far in office he has granted 171 pardons. LOL…his father pardoned Caspar Weinberger before he even went to trial.
Jesus…republicans are pathetic. Time for the chimp to ride his scooter back to texas.
I Am Legend / Batman – The Dark Knight
In a quest for refuge from Berts posts I will offer this.
I saw I Am Legend recently. The Will Smith remake of Omega Man. It was decent but really seemed to only be half of a movie. Even the original Omega Man had a more developed plot. Will Smith simply coudn’t pull off being the only actor on screen for the first half of the movie…that and the weak script doomed it.
Included on the DVD was a rather detailed preview of The Dark Knight…that gay cowboy guy actually looks like he did an interesting bit there. Anyone seen it? How was it?

“…We had a good country here and they ruined it!”
The entire quote, from an Iclandic citizen, is, “I don’t trust the government, I don’t trust the banks, I don’t trust the political parties, and I don’t trust the IMF. We had a good country here and they’ve ruined it.”
Iceland is bankrupt. They’re getting a $10 billion bail out from the IMF and some European countries. There are only about 320,000 Icelanders, so that about $31,000 each. But they don’t get the money; the money, I guess, goes to the banks that failed and the government that failed them.
Possibly someone totally objective could say the same thing for America. Why aren’t people admitting that the govenment is bankrupt? We have all these banks, insurance companies, and big ticket manufacturing companies, etc., that are bankrupt, but subjectively it can’t be allowed to happen. Everyone is being bailed out, and where is the bail out money coming from? It’s coming from the future. The unknowable future.
