The statue of liberty reopens today or at least the climb

up into the crown does. I think the base has been open for a while.
Sometime in maybe the early 70s I went up into the crown with some friends. It was summer time and very hot inside the statue and if I remember right you had to climb an arduous iron staircase to get into the crown . The interior structure of an iron “skelton” designed by Mr Eiffel (sp) of Eiffel tower fame was interesting to me being into stuff like that then and even now. This morning I spent some time looking at all kinds of different photos of the statue and I’ll leave a site in a with many photos.

I heard a blurb on the tele that Bon Jovi just released a new rendition of “Stand By Me” with Rich Sambora. It’s done in both English and Iranian. Does anybody know about this? I can’t find it on iTunes or Amazon.

Sarah Palin resigns Governorship to spend time learning Geography!
Posted in: General | Comments (2)
I’ve only scanned the breakin news. But it is official: Sarah Palin, Queen of the American Republican/Conservative Universe, is stepping down from her elected position to concentrate on learning to walk and chew bubble gum at the same time…
The hate-fest from the Left is going to be awesome! Some of you may not be able to hear your local 4th of July fireworks celebration.
Here’s the one, currently irrefutable, fact about the 2012 presidential election: President Barack Obama may wind up in the same position in which George W. Bush left the Republican Party in 2008: ”Anyone but what we’ve got now!”
Pretty much this is all I’ve got going for me!

LOL….Sara Palin is resigning as Alaska’s Governor.

You can read the “remarks” someone else wrote for her all over the web.
What’s interesting in all this is that just yesterday a story re-broke about her ties to an utterly wacky “seccessionist” party in Alaska. Apparently old Toddo sno-mo-BEELED over to more than a few meetings with these wackjobs. Palins “remarks’ are peppered with the catch phrases of these loons.
It was pure class when she said ‘they won’t have old sara to kick around any more’. LMAO. Where did I hear that phrase before?? Wait…it was Nixon.
Sara also feels that the world has far too many intelligent people and that we “need more ‘Trigs’”.
It’s also interesting to think about the words Palin chooses to type IN ALL CAPS. She tends to stress FIGHT when making vague suggestions about seccession but towards the end she plays the barbie card with BOTTOMS UP and TOP DOWN.
God I’m going to miss that batchit crazy alaskan bitch.

John Dillinger dies!
There. I spoiled the movie for you and saved you at least 9.50. Okay, I’m trusting that everyone here knew that John Dillinger dies. I mean to not know is like not knowing the boat sinks in Titanic. I’m no Dillinger expert by any stretch of anybody’s imagination, but I knew that he got gunned down by G-men in front of a movie theater.
See my blog for what annoyed me about the movie.

How did Adam Lambert lose to Kris Allen?
Posted in: General | Comments (6)
Okay, I was away during the finale` … and I simply assumed, until the other day when I heard otherwise, that Adam won. I mean, the boy is like the next Elvis. Can any of you guys explain what and how this happened? I’m so disgusted I may boycott the next year’s A/I. What a scam. I’m crazy mad about this one.

Last Nights PBS episode of American Masters was about Neal Young.

What a fascinating show it was.
When I was just a young Nagual in the early 70’s a show use to come on at midnight on saturdays or sundays that would show live rock concerts at the truly HUGE arenas. The first time I recall seeing this show there was the largest crowd I had ever seen in my life during a daytime open air concert. This incredibly frail and skinny little guy with stringy hair in his eyes got up on stage with a guitar and neck mounted harmonica. He played Southern Man and completely blew that entire crowd away. That was Neal Young.
Things I didn’t know about Neal:
He was from nowhere Canada.
He routinely discarded successful bands . He considers “his ” band to have always been Crazy Horse but feels he must leave them for years at a time or he will lose his talent.
He was good friends with Charlie Manson and wrote a disturbing song about him after the murders. He played the song for either Crosby or Stills and they were angry and freaked out that he would write such a song.
He went through a techno phase in the 80’s where he played with Devo….but oddly the song they wrote “rock and roll will never die”(rust never sleeps) became an instant rock classic.
He wrote Four Dead In Ohio immediately after seeing the photo of the girl kneeling over the dead body at Kent State.
Neal is a true american classic ….oh and he despised douchebag republicans.

Weekly World News to tell them an Internet Persona is actually a “Douchebag”.
Cashing in!
